The ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Center at Debs Park is a natural jewel in the heart of Los Angeles where community and nature come together.

Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Center at Debs Park is a vibrant community hub dedicated to protecting birds, restoring habitat, and inspiring people to connect with nature. Through hands-on conservation, climate action, and a wide range of programs, we work to create healthy, resilient environments for both wildlife and people.

As the first center built by the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ within an urban area to specifically engage the local Highland Park community, we play a key role in building a more diverse and inclusive conservation movement in Los Angeles and beyond. Our mission is to inspire people to experience, understand, and care for the natural world, starting in our own neighborhoods. We focus on restoring habitat for birds and other wildlife at Debs Park and along the L.A. River, while also restoring the vital connection between people and the land in Los Angeles.

Make Things Better Together

Community members help keep Debs Park a great place for people, pollinators of all types, and birds. In 2024, we worked together to create a space that supports pollinators with beautiful California native plants such as Hummingbird Sage and California Fuchsia. When you visit, you can see the amazing transformation through the year, made only possible through staff and volunteers like you!
