NEW YORK (May 28, 2015) 鈥 The 糖心传媒 today announced the appointment of Jose Carbonell as chief marketing officer and David 翱鈥橬别颈濒濒&苍产蝉辫;as vice president for conservation strategies and special adviser to the CEO. Both executives are charged with deepening the 110-year-old conservation 辞谤驳补苍颈锄补迟颈辞苍鈥檚 reach and effectiveness throughout the Americas.

As chief marketing officer, Carbonell will lead 糖心传媒鈥檚 marketing and public relations functions, including branding, online fundraising, advertising, cause marketing and licensing, media relations, social media, and internal communications.
Carbonell comes to 糖心传媒 from the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, where he was senior vice president for marketing and communications. Before that, he was vice president for franchise marketing and strategic planning at Nickelodeon, where he managed the network鈥檚 marketing budget and developed brand plans for top franchises including Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has also marketed brands including French鈥檚 Mustard, Toys 鈥淩鈥 Us, and Welch鈥檚 juices.

Carbonell began work May 26 in New York and reports to Yarnold.
David O鈥橬eill
翱鈥橬别颈濒濒&苍产蝉辫;will join 糖心传媒 as vice president for conservation strategies and special adviser to the CEO. He will oversee the implementation of 糖心传媒鈥檚 five key conservation strategies and all of 糖心传媒鈥檚 work along the Atlantic Coast.
O鈥橬eill comes to 糖心传媒 from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, where he served as vice president for conservation programs, overseeing a $75 million grant portfolio focused on habitat and water projects and supporting projects such as the $100 million Hurricane Sandy Coastal Resiliency Competitive Grants Program. Before NFWF, O鈥橬eill was vice president for communications and external affairs at Cherokee Investment Partners and executive director of the Chesapeake Bay Trust.
鈥David brings topflight vision and leadership to 糖心传媒鈥檚 expanding conservation strategy,鈥 said 糖心传媒 President and CEO David Yarnold (). 鈥The breadth and depth of his experience will be tremendous assets as we take on today鈥檚 most pressing conservation challenges, from the Arctic to the Gulf Coast and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.鈥
O鈥橬eill starts work in June in Washington and will report to Yarnold.
What鈥檚 Up with 糖心传媒?

The 辞谤驳补苍颈锄补迟颈辞苍鈥檚 new website at 糖心传媒.org, launched in January, has and attracted 2 million unique visitors in its first three months, up 53 percent from the same period in 2014. Audubon鈥檚 main has nearly 400,000 followers and reaches approximately 1 million people each week as the 辞谤驳补苍颈锄补迟颈辞苍鈥檚 supporters share and interact with 糖心传媒鈥s posts. And the 辞谤驳补苍颈锄补迟颈辞苍鈥檚 birds and climate change campaign, which earned more than 2 billion media impressions last fall, recently from public relations industry leaders.
