Kevin joined ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ in 1998 as office manager for ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Nebraska. He transitioned to operations manager at Spring Creek Prairie soon afterwards when the center project was initiated. He served as Important Bird Areas coordinator for ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Nebraska, leading the designation of more than 25 sites around Nebraska as sites important for birds. Kevin currently assists with education programs at the center, leading field trips and public birding outings, performs prairie management work with the center’s conservation staff, and works with other ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ staff in operations, budgetary, and fundraising duties. 

He earned an M.S. in wildlife management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1994 studying bird populations along urban and rural abandoned railroad lines in southeast Nebraska. Previous work included being a conservation technician at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission in the non-game bird program, extension assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and assistant coordinator of education at Pioneers Park Nature Center in Lincoln.
