About Strawberry Plains ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Center

Learn about the center's history and staff.

Welcome to the Strawberry Plains ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Center—where nature and history meet. The center was founded when sisters Ruth Finley and Margaret Shackleford donated a 2,400-acre property to the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ in 1998.  Since then, ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ has taken up management of additional DOT mitigation properties, expanding the managed acreage to 3,000. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Delta is the regional ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ office that manages Strawberry Plains.

Strawberry Plains ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Center has demonstrated how local conservation—through working lands and bird-friendly communities—enhances the welfare of wildlife and people. While at Strawberry Plains ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Center, you can hike the trails, view birds year-round, and explore a variety of woodland, grassland, and watershed habitats.
